End of 3.0 and a New Officer
|

Video coming by the end of the day.
Initially we were going to have everyone just roll on the drake but for so long now that I can't tell you when it started, Trix here has been setting up healing. It's a job that I flat out suck at and would simply rather not do. I used to be a healer so I understand the healer's plight, but setup has just never worked for me. The gears in my brain grind to a halt and to have someone taking it upon himself, with no foreseeable reward, has been a huge load off of my back.
So we surprised him with it :) Thank you, Trix. You've actually tried to make my job easier and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
Along with that, I'd like to make a couple other thank yous. Some personal, some just for service to the guild. If this feels like an acceptance speech, it's only because I feel like we're a real guild now, we've proven ourselves to a large degree, and this is a very proud day.
- Threnia, Diznan and Jack - You've been with me since Perenolde and you were actually crazy enough to start this guild with me. I love you guys regardless of how little time I've been able to spend with you in the real world. You are great friends that anyone would be lucky to have.
- Jd, Ariyah, Swiftwrath, Thiassi, Alcohog, Jolokia, Phrantic and Fallenparrot - For giving this a shot and being a part of that first raid night. It never would have gotten off the ground otherwise.
- Tlash, Trix, Kilgreth and Rozz - For being du... smart enough to pay money to transfer here and raid with us, rounding out our roster in a big way at a pretty critical time.
- Cap, Basmus and Maddy - For coming home.
- And finally Cuppycake - You haven't been here long but you've taken on the HUMONGOUS job of keeping me sane and making me smile during a raid. And you do it well.
Looking forward to 3.1, we're making a new addition to the officer team. We've had Jack and he has had to step down for real life reasons. We've had Phrantic who for reasons largely person had to step down - though I'll always appreciate the effort he did put and even still puts into recruitment. It's a big spot to fill and after interviewing quite a few people and mulling it over for a few days...
Grats on your pants, Mitsa. I mean your new job. That.
Grats indeed. |

Nearly done...

So we've had a few hangups that pertained to people having exams and the holidays but, considering that has had us doing this without full raids, I think we've done well for one week. Good work everyone.

First foray into Naxx 25
|
Plague and Spider down. Sound familiar? I think we've been here before.
Excuse me if I'm on auto pilot until we get to the big stuff again. Counting down the days till Malygos over here. Loving how the logic behind bringing back Naxx was to allow players to experience one of if not the "best dungeon that Blizzard had to offer." Really, I am.
As a BC nub when it comes to raiding (I was a pure pvp player in classic WoW), I'm thinking BC raids got a bad rap. I'm reminded of the South Park where Jesus and David Blaine have a showdown, miracle vs miracle and Jesus is forced to admit that maybe his techniques worked better on people 2,000 years ago.
I'm sure that Naxx was the shit when all you had done was MC and BWL and I'll even go so far as to assume that your nostalgia gland is freaking out now that you're back in there but, really, after things like Vashj, Kael, Kil'Jaeden? This is boring, plain and simple. |
